Wake up... call?

Good morning, Kids! Yeah... I know. An entire week that your Uncle has gone incommunicado. Sorry to leave y'all in the lurch but the last week was a whirlwind. Between the new full-time job, but one foot still in my previous job, and the multiple other commitments, I've been go, go, go! So forgive me if I've put sleeping and eating ahead of searching out pendant lamps or pot pie recipes.

I gotta say... figuring out a new personal schedule is going to take some time and some adjusting. It has me wondering how I'm going to be able to do it? Am I stretching myself too thin? Is juggling all of my interests and commitments really possible? I mean, you should see the vast number of post-it notes surrounding my computer right now! It's ridiculous! And yet, even with all of those reminders there are still things slipping through the cracks. Which leaves me scrambling to retrieve them before they are lost to the multi-tasking gods forever or trying to chalk it up and deal with the feelings of unfinished business and a sense of failure. All this while I look around at a home that is crying out with this project and that project longing for completion. Oy. Veh!

So what's a blogger to do? Well, for the moment I need to focus on getting my tokhes in gear and ready myself for another week at the new job! (Which, by the way, I'm loving!) The rest? Well, I have to figure all of that out later. See what I mean? Sigh.

Happy Monday, Kids! Thanks for Hangin'!

Did you see my guest post over at Paloma's? My "10 Things" on La Dolce Vita?
Check it out!

  1. I didn't know you got a new FT job, did I? Well, congratulations! And, here's the thing, we will all be here when you're ready to regroup. You have our hearts, Beefy, so go follow yours and figure it all out. Then let me know your trick, cause I'm still trying, myself! xo

  2. PS: Feather is back! Jenn from Bits of Beauty fixed it! Thank you so much for talking me off the ledge. There was apparently some "screwy code" to blame. That's what I get for trying to be all techy, I suppose:)

  14. Congratulations on the new job! Am new here so am not up to date with the history to this.. What do you do? When you are not writing post-its, blog posts etc.. (a posting pattern emerging..)

The juggling is tricky. I have added kids to my mix. And two jobs... Oh the fun of it all, and you know what!? Let some things slip through the cracks. You know, allow yourself to drop a ball now and then.. It's life and when you bend down to pick it up you'll see everything in a new perspective.

    Hang on in there.

  24. Love your blog, Beefy ... every single bit of deliciousness you always post: class, style, humor, and wit (does it get better than that?)! I only would wish that you'd stop apologizing for when life gets busy and postings get less frequent -- WE UNDERSTAND! And there's no problem! Don't apologize, and don't explain! Only tell us that you've missed us once you're back and know that the feeling is mutual.

    love and kisses ~
