In a Pickle: Gorgeous Gifts from House of Brinson

It's moments like these when you know that the blogosphere is an awesome place. I recently received the nicest, sweetest, most you-shouldn't-have-but-I'm-so-glad-you-did package from Susan and William of blog fave House of Brinson. I mean, get out! Four beautifully packaged jars of some of Susan's culinary handiwork: Dill Pickles, Pickled Carrots, Apple Butter, and Strawberry Black Pepper Jam. Wowza! And, why did I receive such a bounty? Just 'cause. See what I mean?

    1. Isn't Susan's packaging great, Igor? I actually waited a few days before I could open them because I was so charmed by the packaging. But, SO glad once I broke these open. So tasty! We get an extra weekend day here in the U.S. so taking it easy after a nice weekend. Hope you had a nice weekend, too! :)

  6. I spent most of the weekend looking for the perfect strawberry jam recipe that was just a little different. Black pepper totally fits the bill, off to check to see if they have on their website :D

    1. Absolutely, Laurel! Simple is almost always better. But, admittedly, that's coming from one who tends to lean toward the 'complex/complicated' direction. Nice to see you back, too! :)

  11. Hmmm. I would take the Brinson's thoughtfulness and generosity as a simple, kind-hearted sign (Let's be real. There's no other way to say it!) that your voice has been heard, appreciated, and missed.

I know I'm new around these commenting parts, but I've been reading you for a while now, and you've introduced me to so many cool things from near and far (Hello UK!) that I've really missed your posts.

I mean, c'mon. They sent you apple butter and pickled carrots!!
