Even though it ripped up the roof of my mouth somethin' awful I was always partial to Honeycomb.

And the fact that I wanted to move to the Honeycomb Hideout.

i was NEVER allowed the fabulous fruit loops, apple jacks, etc. growing up. it was all about granola and bran flakes. if mom felt like treating us, we'd get the occasional "honey nut cheerios." when i went off to college, i think i lived on apple jacks, trix, and lucky charms for months. oh, the taste of freedom!

Capt'N Crunch with Crunch Berries! I wasn't allowed sugared cereal as a kid, so look out! Now that I am an adult and can buy my own, I hed straight for those offerring up tons of sugar.

cap'n crunch all the way! and that's just what was in my suitcase coming back to switzerland from ny a few months ago! nothing like a little taste of nostalgia, and a whole lot of sugar. i am a total cereal kid... i used to take a handful from 10 different boxes and mix that in 1 bowl! or... use as topping on ice cream sundaes! mmmm, cereal for dinner tonight perhaps ?!!

Wow, I can go on and on....

Fruity Pebbles (drinking the milk after eating the cereal was the BEST!), Cocoa Pebbles, Cocoa Puffs, Frosted Flakes (The mexican version was better azucaraditas). I may have gotten all sugared out as a kig because I prefer the granola, but here and there I treat myself to Cinnamon Toast Crunch :-)

The transformation from box-to-bowl gave me a lifelong love of ANYTHING in those tiny cereal boxes that your could cut open and pour the milk right into.!
...and just who was the freakin' GENIUS who thought to line the box with waxed paper? ( OK, it's probably plastic nowadays)

These were a small miracle in my everything-from-scratch family. A big extravagance only produced on the first day of summer vacation. Love 'em!

Your writing is stupendously spectacular and sooo dang fun to read. Thanks!~
