These are unbelievable. I love brown paper, too, or anything that has a recycled feel...like when artists use mixed media or paint on tattered books. That first one has a Rockwell-ish quality to it, wouldn't you say? I love the BEEF one best though, of course:) xo
Nice to see from that first image that the lovely, much missed, Ivor Cutler hasn't been forgotten.
Beautiful work. I'm with you on the brown paper. It's my favourite wrapping paper always and I own a couple of brown paper artworks and love them too!
These are spectacular, especially the first one. Wow, I'm left speechless and in awe of such raw talent. Thank you for sharing this.on a side note- I just wanted to say thank you, you always leave the nicest comments on my blog...the one today, about my kiddos, was perfect. I really did LOL! :0)

oh my gosh, i LOVE chris crites! my BF and i bought four from the 'mug shot' series about 3 years ago. they're insanely cool! we have the painting he did of rosa parks mug shot, martin luther king jr.'s mug shot, and two other unknowns from the 50's - they're all civil rights activits who were arrested in the 50's - 60's. AMAZING!! love him.
