What do you mean there's no "bathroom"?!

I like camping. No...not that kind...like in the outdoors? I know...shocking. Alright, perhaps what I would ultimately prefer is something I like to call "glamping". Get it..."glamour" + "camping"? Oh, I can get rustic and all but who doesn't want a little woodland glamour? Oh really? You'd rather sleep in a sack on the ground than in a cot dressed with a feather bed and proper sheets? Well, go on witch'yur bad self, Grizzly Adams...Uncle likes things a bit more civilized when it's an option. What did you think the jam was for? Your Cup O' Noodles?

Some "glamping" inspirations from fab British retailer TOAST.

  3. Yes! I am with you on this. Though (I'll admit it) I'm a priss and need running water. And a toilet. And I'm also not very good with bugs (they eat me alive). And I'm not sure I could fit all my beauty products in a backpack.

So I guess what I'm really saying here is that I'll be in the hotel while you guys are in your tents.

  4. Hey - as long as I have wine and a big, cuddly man with me, I don't CARE where I'm glamping!

  7. Beefy, you understand me like no other. Camping? No thank you. Glamping?! Now that's a pastime I can enjoy! I think we could even get Martina to come along for the trip and dazzle our fingers and toes. You know, right before we gather 'round the campfire for vespers and s'mores.

  9. i don't know. i tried this camping thing a month ago. i had the high-thread count sheets and gourmet food and still couldn't get over the fact there were no mirrors in the bathroom.
